Rush Limbaugh Bashes 'Journalistic Malpractice' Attacking GOP Over Gov't Shutdown

Audio: Rush Limbaugh took the media to task Monday for foisting all the blame of a potential government shutdown on Republicans. He mocked pieces like The Washington Post's "You will no longer be able to watch this baby panda online if the government shuts down" and this Associated Press article for basically saying Republicans want a shutdown and "hate the zoo" and all the rest of it.

Remy: Obamacare Video Contest Song

Lyrics:

What's hated by unions
has businesses wary
and dropping coverage
like the 'Skins secondary?

Causing thousands of layoffs
taking it's toll?
What's so good for people
that they're forced to enroll?

What's a law that's so good
folks who passed and defended it
see it and got waivers
to be exempted? It's

like Olestra, at first
it sounded hip
but we quickly found ourselves
dealing with a whole lot of sh...

Obamacare, Obamacare
Unions and businesses both in despair

So to recap, young people,
your hours get cut
and your income goes down
and your premium's up

and the taxes you pay
with the cash you have left
go to pay for a stupid
video contest, touting

Obamacare, Obamacare
Unions and businesses both in despair

It's hated by doctors and unions are mad.
Not since Billy Ray Cyrus
has someone made something this bad.

Obamacare Update: Map showing average increase for every US State:

So now we know, the average man will pay 99% more under Obamacare and the average woman will pay 62% more.  Not exactly what we were expecting.  From Forbes:
For months now, we’ve been waiting to hear how much Obamacare will drive up the cost of health insurance for people who purchase coverage on their own. Last night, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services finally began to provide some data on how Americans will fare on Obamacare’s federally-sponsored insurance exchanges. HHS’ press release is full of happy talk about how premiums will be “lower than originally expected.” But the reality is starkly different.Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men

Senator Ted Cruz interviewed by Radio Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh:

Rush Limbaugh Audio - Following the conclusion of his filibuster-like marathon speech in the U.S. Senate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) joined conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh to discuss his strategy. Cruz told Limbaugh that he practically begged the political press to devote at least a portion of their focus to the problems associate with the Affordable Care Act instead of simply the process of his filibuster. He said that many in the media cover politics like "Hollywood gossip columnists."

Audio - Mark Levin: Washington Navy Yard Shooter Was A Democrat, And Didn't Have An Assault Rifle

Bet you won't hear this on the State controlled media. We learn more about the Washington Navy Yard shooter and find out that he was a Democrat, that despite initial reports he didn't have an assault rifle, and that there were warning signs about his psychiatric status in the months prior to the shooting. Mark says this shouldn't be about gun control; this is more about nut control because this guy was a lunatic. Mark also discusses the Obama economy and how it's tanking and that the civil society will collapse once the economy goes. Also, Mark calls out Terry McAuliffe and says he would be terrible for Virginia, as Mark endorses Ken Cuccinelli for Governor. Finally, Mark speaks with Representative Tom Graves of Georgia to talk about the defunding Obamacare movement.

Fox News "The Five" tear into Democrats for Politiciting Navy Yard Shooting:

Video:  Fox New The Five rips Democrats for injecting politics into a tragedy - the shooting which involved 12 deaths at the Washington Navy Yard.
Via MediaiteAsked if he thought it was “appropriate” for Feinstein and others to advocate for stricter gun control laws on the same day that the shooting happened, Bob Beckel said “absolutely.” He asked why someone with known mental illness problems like Aaron Alexis was allowed to purchase a shotgun. “In this country, you can be a fruitcake like that, and buy a gun, and go shoot up 13 people,” Beckel said.Meanwhile, Tantaros placed the blame on Vice President Joe Biden, who suggested people “buy a shotgun” instead of an assault rifle. She said it was a “messaging problem” that could continue to plague the vice president.
Eric Bolling appeared to be inadvertently arguing on the side of those who want stricter gun laws when he said Alexis “still had to have a background check” for the shotgun he purchased, assuming it was done legally. He said the main problem is that if someone checks into a mental institution in one state and then purchases a gun in another state, that information is not being properly shared. According to Bolling, the right is all for fixing that problem, they just weren’t for a “national gun registry,” which, of course, the Manchin-Toomey bill specifically prohibited.
Towards the end of the segment, the conversation turned towards the failure of the “mainstream media,” with Dana Perino calling it “despicable” that so many people went to sleep last night thinking Alexis had used an AR-15.
For the record, Bolling pointed out that “Piers Morgan, who has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about, perpetuated that myth.”

Global Warming Update - Polar Icecap GROWS 60% in one year

Latest Global Warming Update shows that the Polar Icecaps have grown by some 1 million square miles in the last year.  The Daily Mail has the story:
A chilly Arctic summer has left nearly a million more square miles of ocean covered with ice than at the same time last year – an increase of 60 per cent. The rebound from 2012’s record low comes six years after the BBC reported that global warming would leave the Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013.Instead, days before the annual autumn re-freeze is due to begin, an unbroken ice sheet more than half the size of Europe already stretches from the Canadian islands to Russia’s northern shores.global cooling
The Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year. More than 20 yachts that had planned to sail it have been left ice-bound and a cruise ship attempting the route was forced to turn back. Some eminent scientists now believe the world is heading for a period of cooling that will not end until the middle of this century – a process that would expose computer forecasts of imminent catastrophic warming as dangerously misleading. The disclosure comes 11 months after The Mail on Sunday triggered intense political and scientific debate by revealing that global warming has ‘paused’ since the beginning of 1997 – an event that the computer models used by climate experts failed to predict. In March, this newspaper further revealed that temperatures are about to drop below the level that the models forecast with ‘90 per cent certainty’.The pause – which has now been accepted as real by every major climate research centre – is important, because the models’ predictions of ever-increasing global temperatures have made many of the world’s economies divert billions of pounds into ‘green’ measures to counter  climate change. Those predictions now appear gravely flawed.
